The Space Quilt Top Is Finished

I want to get this quilt up on the frames ready to quilt. I took the pieces with me on my trip to Utah last week. I was able to get it put together by sewing in my extra minutes at Gloria's and Marjorie's.

When I got home I was able to  get the whole thing finished in the wee hours Thursday morning before the Humanitarian Service day at the Stake Center.

This is the quilt for the Humanitarian Day. It is 8-1/2 inch squares surrounded by 12 4-1/2 inch squares. We tied it with yellow yarn. It was too thick and made it hard to pull thru. We did get it done in the time allotted.

I was  going to put the space quilt on the frames while we were there and pin it together so I could put it up in my sewing room. I will be having a lot of time to work on it soon. I forgot I had used the batting for the Humanitarian quilt that I had bought for the space quilt. So we had to take it down and will get another batt and go to plan B. Not sure what that is right now. There is more to come.
