Quick Quilt Update
All I have left to do is across the very edge of this quilt to have the first half done. I have a couple of other projects to finish so I will be rolling it up for a bit while I do them.

The Space Quilt Top Is Finished
I want to get this quilt up on the frames ready to quilt. I took the pieces with me on my trip to Utah last week. I was able to get it put together by sewing in my extra minutes at Gloria's and Marjorie's.
When I got home I was able to get the whole thing finished in the wee hours Thursday morning before the Humanitarian Service day at the Stake Center.

Bread Pan Experiment
While making bread today I thought of some special bread pans in the back of the closet. I am trying as experiment as I type cooking bread in the m to see how it will come out. More pictures later.
Baking Now
It is supposed to bake an hour. Hmmm We'll see.
This is what it looked like when it came out of the oven. I didn't realize until now that you can see the way the bread stuck out the other end of the tube laying down. More pictures later of the finished product.

The Vietnam Memorial.
I wish I had taken a picture of the Korean War Memorial. It was soldiers in rain ponchos carrying guns and they were trudging through fields. The looks on their faces were haunting. Even though they were stone, they looked so real.
Martin Luther King Memorial
Saturday In-N-Out at the American History Museum
The first copy machine
The talk President roosevelt gave right after Pearl Harbor. on the first line it was change from world history to infamy
Waiting in line to go in the National Archives to see the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
We walk what seemed like the full length of Washington D.C. from the National Archives down to see the White House. It was a long walk.
Sunday morning at the Air and Space Museum Wright Brothers bicycle They learned a lot of what they needed to know about airplanes from the bicycles.

New Life to an Old Quilt
Grandma Hart found an old quilt my mom had made back in the early 70's. The back was tricot and had all but disintegrated. Grandma brought some orange and green fabric that didn't match her quilt she brought to work on. It matches the back of this quilt perfectly. The green matches the thread we are using to put a new back on the old quilt. This has been a learning experience and good to spend time with Grandma.
