Just barely missed it

This afternoon there was a huge power outage. They say it went from Southern California to Mexico, Baja and Arizona. They even said that San Onofre plant shut down automatically when the power went off sometime between 3:30 and 4pm. On the 5 o'clock news they were showing the traffic snarl on Oso Parkway. I also heard people on the news calling in from Trabuco Canyon (Coto de Caza, I think) that their power was out too. I even heard a lady at the drugstore say the stoplight 1/2 way up Alicia from the freeway were out. They said that power will not be restored until tomorrow or maybe even Saturday.

Thankfully, we have not been without power at all today. It had been about 97 degrees and the air conditioner has been going full blast all day.
